Craig Blair was born 1975 in Argyll. He graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art with a BA (Hons) in Printmaking. He has exhibited at Compass Gallery in Glasgow and has also had solo show at Kyle-side Gallery, Tighnabruaich. He has been an occupational therapy volunteer at Strathmartin Hospital, Dundee and also worked with Paintings in Hospitals Scotland at Yorkhill Children's Hospital. Craig's work is inspired by the West Coast of Scotland. His work evokes a sense of calm and tranquility inspired by the interplay of water and natural light. He uses natural sources such as wood and over-printing to recreate textural qualities apparent in the natural environment.
