Having studied Drawing and Painting at the Glasgow School of Art, Marj Bond spent three months travelling in India in 1988. This experience has greatly influenced her work which makes use of intense colour and a highly worked surface. She has also visited Italy, Mexico and Spain for further inspiration. In 1989, Bond was elected to both the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour and the Scottish Society of Artists. She has exhibited widely throughout Britain and her works are included in collections held by Edinburgh University, Proctor and Gamble and Perth Art Gallery.
