Mads Holm studied art photography at the Danish School of Art, graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2016, and won the Art in Healthcare purchase award at RSA New Contemporaries exhibition in 2017. With funding from Hope Scott Trust.

''My current practice is dedicated to developing the ongoing project About Common Ground - an experiment in constant photographic investigation of states and movements in global society. Particularly attentive to political tensions, social consciousness and the influence of contemporary universal capitalism, I try and encompass the larger relations within big systems that scare me, fascinate me and that I do not understand. I lead around a modern digital camera making photographic pictures of infrastructure, manufactured objects, architecture, city constructions and the people living in them. When successful the pictures imply how big and complex systems dictate way of life and how we think of ourselves and others...'' Mads Holm
