Sarah Knox's Within the Wind has the capacity to transport the viewer to that environmental condition, rather than a certain place - the atmosphere and feelings that arise from those conditions and memories of being within the wind override the importance of the actual location. Within the Wind remains true to Knox's style of play with the environmental qualities and atmosphere, and feelings that these evoke from our experiences and memories.
Sarah Knox spent her childhood on the idyllic North Norfolk coast which inspired her fascination with landscapes. She went on to study at the universities of Exeter and London and has taught art, complemented by periods in arts broadcasting and gallery education.
She has sustained her contemporary art practice throughout her career, and has had exceptional success exhibiting her work, now represented in many private and public collections.
