A Midnight Gathering
As I stood upon this magical shore, looking out to sea:
there, lit up by the brightest of moons – a performance just for me.
In the darkness not too far away, colourless, glistening bright,
I saw five spirit dolphins dancing in the night.
On the horizon – two spirit whales, their spouts shooting water up high;
which looked like sparkling fountains, against the midnight sky.
Then, slowly as if by magic, more spirit creatures appeared; jellyfish, narwhals and smiling sharks; I knew I had no need to fear.
As I looked down at my bare feet, they were completely see- through,
You see I had died and gone to heaven, a spirit to be born anew.
