Michie spent three months in Belgrade, former Yugoslavia, during 1980 where he painted Tick Tock depicting a shop window.
This artwork was kindly donated to Art in Healthcare by the artist David Michie OBE RSA (1928-2015). David shared with us at the time of donating the work that “I think paintings deserve to be out and about and seen in a variety of places, and I can’t think of any better place than in a hospital ward or clinic, if it diverts somebody’s attention.”
