Our
Collection

For over thirty years, Art in Healthcare have established a collection of modern and contemporary artworks that have either been donated, commissioned or purchased.

Artworks from the collection are currently on display in health and social care settings across Scotland, providing a positive impact on environments for patients, visitors and staff.

The collection includes artworks by both established and emerging artists, including paintings, prints and photography.

We are proud to have works by many well known artists such as Elizabeth Blackadder, Victoria Crowe, Alan Davie, David Michie, John Houston, Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Ian Hamilton Finlay, Barbara Rae, Frances Walker and many more.

Stories of the Collection

Our collection features modern and contemporary artworks dating from the 1960s to the present day, including painting, printmaking, mixed-media and photography, covering a wide range of themes and subjects.

Stories of the Collection
is a series of online exhibitions celebrating artists, artworks and new acquisitions.

As we explore our collection, we invite others to contribute, bringing new perspectives and fresh interpretations of artworks alongside stories from the archive.

Artwork
Rental

Over the years, we have worked with many private and public organisations through our art rental scheme. By renting out our collection and working in partnership, we have established longstanding working relationships with NHS trusts nationwide, care homes and other community healthcare settings.

Working closely with the team and carefully considering the users of the space, artworks are selected. Our service includes delivery, installation and insurance of the artwork as well as fixings, fixtures and signage. Through our experience and knowledge, we can support and guide the development of a long-term art strategy for your organisation.
