Rachel Maclean Artwork Bequest

It is always helpful to learn from others and we have already greatly benefited from the skills and expertise shared through the consortium Remember A Charity. It is made up of around 200 UK charities, small and large, who are working together to raise awareness of charitable gifts in Wills. Remember A Charity uses the term #Willanthropy to overcome the misconception that you need to be wealthy to leave a gift to charity in your Will.

The number of adults aged 40+ who have left a gift to charity in their Will has risen by 43% in the past decade. After taking care of family and friends, even leaving a small gift in a Will could help to make a huge impact on charities big and small. Remember A Charity’s Map of Willanthropy, which features Art in Healthcare, can be viewed using the link below:

Last month we were contacted by a firm of solicitors to notify us that an individual, who was a Friend of Art in Healthcare for many years, had left us a bequest. It was in the form of artwork and we are most grateful for the generosity of the individual, for considering us a worthy cause and providing support for our charitable work. As part of the bequest we are delighted to have acquired The Queen by Rachel Maclean. This work was commissioned by Edinburgh Printmakers for Maclean’s first solo show I HEART SCOTLAND in 2013.
