The National Day of Arts in Care Homes took place on the 24th of September this year.
To celebrate, we wanted to share an update from our ‘Taking Art Home’ project which has involved working with two care homes in South Lanarkshire.
Inspired by artwork from our collection, residents have been exploring narrative and storytelling through writing, printmaking and animation.
This painting of doves below (artist unknown) inspired one participant to reflect on the birds fighting outside her window when she puts food out for them.
